For one night only! Feb 22, 2014, Hwy 183 turns into Broadway in Austin as ASB brings you an evening of show tune hits from the Great White Way. Featuring the vocal stylings of Carlton Dillard, you'll hear the best of West Side Story, The King and I, Candide, Into the Woods, and Chicago along with selections from Hello Dolly, Bye Bye Birdie, Mame, and many others. An added bonus is the Clarinet Concerto by the great Artie Shaw, performed by guest artist Alex Ford. Bring the whole family to this celebration of America's musical theater scene!

Alex Ford, Clarinet

Alex Ford is a Masters Clarinet Performance Major at The University of Texas at Austin. A student of Nathan Williams, Alex is a member of the UT Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra, and has also performed with the Northeast Texas Symphony Orchestra.†

Alex has taught for the 2012 Texas Clarinet Colloquium and for several school districts, including Leonard ISD, Wills Point ISD, Palmer ISD, Commerce ISD, and for the East Austin College Preparatory School.

Professional associations include the International Clarinet Association, Alphi Chi Chapter of the National College Honor Society, Kappa Kappi Psi, and Texas Music Educators Association.

Alex is a 2012 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Texas A&M University-Commerce with a Bachelor of Music Degree (in Clarinet Performance) and a Minor in Astronomy.



Carlton Dillard, Vocals

Carlton Dillard joined the staff of Riverbend Church in Austin, Texas as Pastor of Creative Arts in 1989.

He is known across the country for his innovative use of all styles of music in the church setting. He is in much demand as a conference speaker and clinician and is also proficient as a singer, songwriter, arranger and producer.

Dillardís vast musically diverse background allows him to program material that appeals to all ages and tastes.

Carlton is married to Sharon and has 4 children, Heath, Heather, Jamie and Jessica and four grandchildren, Maya, Reagan, Serena and Jonah.
