Email:Note:
ASB presents a concert featuring multiple outstanding guest artists. The acclaimed Wild Basin Winds Woodwind Quintet joins ASB, performing the First Movement of Mozart’s "Sinfonia Concertante," scored for woodwind quintet and band. The Wild Basin Winds' Oboist and member of the Austin Symphony, Ian Davidson, will also step into the spotlight to perform the virtuosic "Variations on a Theme of Glinka for Solo Oboe and Band" by Rimsky-Korsakov. Finally, Amanda Pepping performs "Ode For Trumpet" by Alfred Reed and the haunting "Malagueña" by Ernesto Lecuona. To complement the program, ASB presents additional works (some well-known, and some perhaps not so well-known) to enhance the concert experience. Richard Floyd conducts.
